Time for bed. Good Night all...

You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat. - Albert Einstein

I have to take a break tonight

I just can’t stomach this place right now.

The Bradley hate thread did me in for a bit. I’m going to have one last night of frivolity before the kid comes and play video games or read Percy Jackson or look at porn or something.

But I’m glad we seemed to have figured out a truce. Been meaning to tell you that for a while.

Good night, Cubs fan

Despite some trolls, I think today was pretty tame — and there were some good discussions. 2009 clearly isn’t our year. But we’ve been in this situation before. I’m kinda looking forward to playing some kids and regrouping for 2010.

by elgato on Aug 27, 2009 4:35 PM CDT reply actions

I really hope

Ramirez and Soriano have played their last 2009 games. Let them get healthy for next year.

I want Bradley’s bat back, but if needs a break to get his head right… then that’s what he should get.

by trolls you mean

the fans who could see this train wreck of season back in May when we were playing like crap and had no team chemistry?

by BeltwayCubsFan on Aug 27, 2009 4:52 PM CDT up reply actions

There's no point

risking the health of these guys for what promises to be a pretty ugly balance of the season. When you drop 2 of 3 to arguably the worst team in baseball at home, there’s really not a lot of hope left in the tank. Give Rami and Sori (and the delicate flower Bradley) the rest of the season to mend. Send ROY/Sophomore Skid Soto to a fat farm. And fire sale whatever tix are left for this season because the fannies are slowly going to stop filling the seats. Oh wait..they are still serving beer so the seats will remain fairly full.
