Appreciated, everyone
I can’t imagine this being more than an inconvenience for me right now… others aren’t so lucky. My girlfriend’s parents are not allowed back to their house, which is bad news. I’m currently housing my pets AND theirs (6 cats and 3 dogs), and now I have to move THEM somewhere.
On that note, go Cubs – enjoy the game folks.

His demands were outrageous
Purposely so, they had to be, it was his get out of Seattle card. He lied to the city when he purchased the team, stating that it was his every intent to keep the franchise in town.
He's a business man
His right to choose the best situation for the team he purchased to be profitable. Still doesn’t change the fact that Seattle didn’t support their basketball team. You guys were among the worst in paid attendance. Your facility was crap and in this day and age for a owner to turn profit, the facility must be modernized.
I must say though the Ford Center is sure looking good with all the renovations that have been done this summer. Nice carpeted seating areas. State of the art facility. Plus we just broke ground on the 10 million dollar practice facility which will among the best in the NBA. On top of all that the roster is getting better by the day!

You can sell it to fans, too!
Just like the ridiculous foam rubber “K’s” at AT&T.
Rickey has spoken. Keep the Athletics in Bump City.
The April in Minnesota
is relatively the same as the April Chicago has. And this April it was actually much nicer. I remember thinking about you poor suckers in Chicago getting snow while I was enjoying 50+ degree days here in MN
Yeah, well see how many pleasant 50+ degree days they get before its a main story on ESPN with the first 4 home dates being snowed out next year
Albert Pujols for Cubs Starting 1B in 2012
Should be beautiful there in the summer though.
You can't win in the postseason unless you can manufacture runs. - Hall of Fame 2B Joe Morgan
agreed, unfortunately 30% of home dates won't be in "summer" weather
Albert Pujols for Cubs Starting 1B in 2012
I don't see it being a problem
I dont see the difference between a 70 degree rainout or a 30 degree snowout
no difference, but when you have to deal with both, there in lies the problem
Albert Pujols for Cubs Starting 1B in 2012
It can rain in the morning and you can play a game at night
If it snows 8 inches the night before, i doubt they are playing later the next day. and even if they do, attendance would be miniscule

Mauer...
…is also the public face of the Twins. He’s going to get a phat contract, and ain’t going anywhere — ever.

Funny thing
I see more Cuddyer jerseys around here. Apparently, the girlies like him

Odd.
Well, girls are those “casual fans” that are highly sought after. And he’s so-o mid-western…
Rickey has spoken. Keep the Athletics in Bump City.
I'm sure he will also be more than happy to take the "hometown discount,"
since he is from MN and all.

Surprisingly
Not disasterous inning for Heilman. Thanks Aaron! Next please.

I do.
He’s never tested positive.
He’s been tested more than any other person in the game.
He’s never tested positive.
His number’s have never dropped or dipped. This is not the case for other players expected of using.

The amount of money...
…he would command on the market, and his age. No more excessive contracts for aging All Stars.
I’d prefer Adrian Gonzalez, or attempting to peel Schierholtz away from the Giants. I’m looking for long term investment. And, if we’re getting down to it, D. Lee has been more than acceptable at the 1B.
Rickey has spoken. Keep the Athletics in Bump City.
His age?
A contract signing albert would be signing him for 7 years of the prime of his career.
He plays 150+ games a year.
He is Albert F’ing Pujols man. Worth every penny he would command on the market.
Plus, with the economy being the way it is, this would be the perfect time to sign a player like this.
Yes, D-Lee has been acceptable, but its Albert F’ing Pujols man.

huh?
i cant agree with that assessment. Got to put the ball in play
Didn't say I liked the result
But taking a 1-2 start to an 8-pitch AB in the 6th is still worthy of an “attaboy – get him next time.”
