Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

If Dave Duncan does not re-up with the birds next year, I would like to see Hendry pursue him. His abilty to shine a pitching turd is unbelievable.

That's a gimme

if you can get Dave Duncan away from the Cards….you would ditch Larry in a minute. I just can’t see Duncan leaving the Cards unless LaRussa leaves

I think I take them only as a package.

TLR and Dave together, not just Duncan.

everyone said the same about Leo from Atl

and he hasnt had the same success in Balt. with their kids. Kinda an interesting ordeal.

My choice, I am not anti-Larry, but we get divorced, and I enter into an affair with Duncan.

wait, what did i just say?

let me try again. You sign Duncan, and DFA Larry, unless he is claimed on waivers, then we work a trade

I dunno, does Darth Maul come with Darth Vader?

I simply cannot fathom cheering for Tony La Russa. It makes me shudder.

anyone who brings a WS here

is fine with me. I do not care who it is. It can be Steinbrenner for all I care at this point.

No thank you

Thinking of the pitchers we have now, and that fact that Duncan probably won’t be coaching for very long I would pass.

LaRussa would be a disaster here. The fans already hate him, he would be under more pressure than he understands, and one incident with the media could end him.

Just say no to players named Aaron on the Cubs.

Is this a serious question?

Of course I would!

Similarly, I’d dump Lee for Pujols as well.

I would take

both Tony and Duncan, I have no issues with ether of them. They win, that is the bottom line.

I hate Tony

Probably because I hate all things St. Louis. I would take Duncan for sure, probably Tony, too. Duncan is the foremost expert on teaching pitchers the spitball without getting caught, so he is my top priority of those two.

can you confirm what you state

Yes

I would dump Larry for almost anyone. It would be interesting to see what DD could do with this pitching staff.
