That is over .700 baeball for 5 weeks. I still believe this team can do that.
The schedule isn't that difficult according to the records of the teams we play. The 2 toughest series will be played on the road, 3 in St. Louis & 4 in San Francisco. We play 18 home games and 16 road games. We play 11 of our next 17 at Wrigley, so we could get hot and put some pressure on the other teams and then we get the big 4 in San Francisco in late September. I think 14-4 at home and then 10-6 on the road is doable.
I am putting the tough series I see for the other teams in the Wild Card race below.
The Braves play at Florida for 4, at St. Louis for 3, Phillies for 3 at home, and Florida at home for 3.
The Marlins play at Atlanta at home for 4, at St. Louis for 3, Phillies for 3 at home, at Atlanta for 3 and at Phillies for 3.
The Rockies look to have the inside track in my opinion of the teams in front of us but I believe we can make a run and definately make up ground while the others play each other.
