John Kruk on Baseball Tonight
just suggested the Cubs make Dempster the closer. Thoughts??
Get 'em on, Get 'em over, Get 'em in!
I think John Kruk is an idiot.

I agree
with myself.
Forget all that other stuff. I gotta believe.

Pujols hits grand slam in tenth,
Mets up in bottom of the tenth down 12-7…good lord. The cardinals score 7 times in the 9th and 10th innings. They are not going anywhere. This is going to be an excruciating finish to the season….

Think Gregg is bad?
Mets reliever comes in with the bases loaded and hits DeRosa on the first pitch. Hangs an 0-2 slider to Pujols for a grand slam.

not only are they not going anywhere;
they are going to be very difficult to match. i’d like to see the cubs develop a bit of a cushion in the wild card race because everything is going right for the cards.

St. Louis is for real...
I like DeRo, but I have two memories about him that won’t go away.
1) 6-4-3 double play on a 3-1 pitch with the bases loaded in 2007 NLDS game three.
2) Botching a double play ball that would have gotten the Cubs out of the inning in game two of last year’s NLDS.
Pull some of that magic for the Cards DeRo.
Also, John Kruk is an idiot. Same goes for Eric Young. Frankly, the whole cast of Baseball Tonight rubs me the wrong way… let me explain.
Peter Gammons only cares about two certain AL east teams and steroid issues.
Steve Berthiaume always says something like “former Met great”. I swear, if Enrique Wilson got a hit he’d say “former Cub great Enrique Wilson”.
Thank goodness for MLB network.
