Well...
IIRC…It cost about $185 to sponsor that page, so if thats how they want to spend their money…more power to them.

oops...
That was the price last I looked for the 2009 page (it’s $160 now), not the 2008 page. I guess they actually paid about $65 according to the Viva El Birdos page, but I still say if thats how they want to spend their money…more power to them

Meh
SWL’s got it covered. Also, BR is great, so they can continue to sponsor whatever they want.

I wish I had $100
To tell someone they suck. Oh well, I have a life instead.
I'd rather make win the division and be in the playoff
than take 4th place in the division

The 2004 Cardinals page is available...
… for $30, if anyone here would like to have a bit of revenge.
That was a StL World Series team, too. Could be fun. Anyone up for it?

It's done....
I’ll kick of a Bleed Cubbie Blue/Cubbie Nation contest this weekend to figure out what caption to use.

Just so you know...
For the moment, it’s (pending approval) “St. Louis – Armpit of America since 1876”.

joe morgan disagrees
strongly
He can throw a fastball at 87MPH and make you look like a fool. He can spray lines drives to right field. He can put up with crappy offense and take the loss. He is Randy Wells. He is the most interesting pitcher in the world. Stay healthy, my friends.

Saint Louis, the city of warm showers
I’m afraid this does not translate very well from the German… In English it almost sounds disgusting.
You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat. - Albert Einstein

maybe BR really needs the money from sponsors. However, snide comments about a rival team made on one of that rival team’s BR pages is classless. If you want to salute another team’s futility, do it as a sponsor of one of your own team’s pages. BR must really need that sponsor money.

I agree.
It’s not that I can’t take a joke, and I understand there will always be a certain amount of back-and-forth between various fanbases, but B-R should keep its site neutral.
By the way, Cards fans are way behind Phillies fans. Look who’s “sponsoring” Johan Santana’s page.
I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.

You've already done your fair share.
Anyone else? It’s only $20!

Agree with you about everything.
I know BR might need that money, but they must find a way to keep this sort of thing from happening in future. Would it be possible for potential sponsors to show who their favorite team is before they sponsor? … ah, yes, they would say the team they want to smear.
But there must be a way to stop this. Overboard.

The weird part is...
… all their sponsorship messages supposedly need to be approved first.

This time, epic fail.
Though, it would seem that we’re not the first to make a snide comment about one of our rivals.

And I doubt that the submissions were overlooked
I bet they were looked at and grudgingly accepted because money talkes and Baseball Reference apparently wants the money bad enough that team bashing on other teams’ sites is acceptable.
