Around SBN: Devils Beat Rangers, Head To Stanley Cup Finals

If he can hook up with one more team this year, he'd tie the major league record.

What will happen to poor Farney ?

1977 - Dave Kingman

He homered for teams in all four existing divisions (Mets – NL East, Padres – NL West, Angels – AL West, and Yankees – AL East) in 1977. He’s got to be the best known player to have been with four different MLB teams in a season.

Dave Martinez did it in 2000.

Dan Miceli - 2003

Astros, Rockies, Indians, Yankees. That’s also four teams in four divisions, but unfortunately for him there are now six divisions so couldn’t match Kingman’s achievement.

The Mets are hurting bad

and Farney needs food. MAKE IT HAPPEN OMAR!

One day I hope to come up with something worthy of this space.

NO!

We want them to take Aaron Miles off our hands!

Word

Miles will start tonight—no doubt in my mind—and blow Omar’s mind with his sharp fielding, powerful arm and stupendous plate appearances.

One day I hope to come up with something worthy of this space.

You know we could take a flyer on him?

Has any player ever been DFA’d by the same team twice in one year?

You mean to fill in for Reed Johnson?

I’m not sure Freel can still play centerfield.

I've committed to tweeting about the Cubs for the rest of the season. (Does that sound as ridiculous as I think it does?) Anyway, if you're on Twitter, you can follow me here.

Ugh.

Do. Not. Want. Let him go sign with the Nats.

i'm still thinking

it would be a kick if we get someone decent for him as a PTBNL. this is the m that sent a top 5 prospect for yunel betancourt.

Freel is likely done

Three teams in one season? I don’t even think the Nats will bite.

And the eighth and final rule: if this is your first time at Fight Club, you have to fight.

by Ace Venom on Aug 6, 2009 2:04 PM CDT reply actions

The Nats just picked up Daryle Ward and Norris Hopper.

Freel would fit right in with that bunch.
