Over his 1.5 years as a Cub

he’s been pretty solid. I’m willing to gamble that the HR’s this year are an anomaly more than a trend.

When Harden is on, he’s a #2 at worst. Over the course of a season, I’d be comfortable relying on him to be a #3.

Seriously?

It’s still a close game. Why the Cubs can’t use Marshall or Gorzelanny here is beyond me.

Eh

Who knows, he could have some good stuff. You never know until he starts throwing.

That's the point ...

If Lou really wants to keep competing for the WC, he wouldn’t use someone who hasn’t pitched in more than two months in a tie game.

I like Rich Harden

But, this seems destined to be his history with the Cubs. The man could not throw 100 pitches in less than six innings to save his soul. It is just like watching Seam Marshall pitch. Sean gives five or six innings but that’s about it. He is a bullpen killer.

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. -- George Santayana (1863-1952)
