Over his 1.5 years as a Cub
he’s been pretty solid. I’m willing to gamble that the HR’s this year are an anomaly more than a trend.
When Harden is on, he’s a #2 at worst. Over the course of a season, I’d be comfortable relying on him to be a #3.
I love to play baseball. I'm a baseball player. I've always been a baseball player. I'm still a baseball player. That's who I am. - Ryne Sandberg
As soon as they throw more work and responsibility on him
I fear he will break down.
"He can't hit, he can't field, he can't run—all he can do is beat you."
The training staff has done an excellent job keeping him healthy thus far.
I’d be comfortable rolling the dice on a 3-year deal with a binding third year based on Games Started in the first two years.
I love to play baseball. I'm a baseball player. I've always been a baseball player. I'm still a baseball player. That's who I am. - Ryne Sandberg

They’ve had an awful lot of players that are repeatedly injured and it seems suspisious that Harden comes to the Cubs and has been healthier than he ever was with the A’s.

I really like what Lou did today — Kosuke and Bradley 1-2, playing the hot hand of Hoff, no Fontenot, etc. Good work, Lou.

If Lou really wants to keep competing for the WC, he wouldn’t use someone who hasn’t pitched in more than two months in a tie game.

But, this seems destined to be his history with the Cubs. The man could not throw 100 pitches in less than six innings to save his soul. It is just like watching Seam Marshall pitch. Sean gives five or six innings but that’s about it. He is a bullpen killer.
