Cubs tied in loss column with ATL & FL for WC

Yes they are all back 5-6 games but CO has lost three in a row and they are now showing signs of tension. The thing is the Cubs don't have to climb over ATL and FL, they just have to win the make up games on them. Yes Al, you are correct in busting Van Dyke's chops for his analysis about the playoff team wins in and trying to project that as a predictor in the playoffs. Cubs can win 94 games if they win out. My thoughts are that CO stil need to win 8 or 9 games or going 8-9 or 9-8 but if CO goes 5-12 down the stretch....finishing 87 wins the Cubs could catch them with a 14-6 finish.

I can't say I did not notice but I won't get sucked in just yet.

Lost too many stupid games. My current goal is a small one. I will be attending the last 7 games. i want them to not
be mathematically eliminated by the time I get to game one.

A vortex? No, of course not!

But AT&T Park, and everyone in it, will get dragged into the bay by a sea kraken during the Giants next home game.

I won't get excited

unless we get past Atlanta and Florida (that could be in just a few days) and we can get within 3 games of the leading Rockies. Let’s face it, the Rockies should have no pressure, they are so far in front .500 ball should get them in. And, I’m not so sure they can’t overtake the Dodgers. Maybe that is who we should hope a long losing streak on along with the Giants.

Doggie Stalker is right, we lost way too many stupid games. Just 5 more wins on the season would have put us in good position to win 90+ easily. Unfortunately it didn’t happen.

This is only the beginning....Lou Pinella end of '07 season and Chicago Transit Authority (the band when they were really good).

They are tied with FLA and ATL in the loss column, no need get past

The thing is Cubs are 5.5 back of CO but really 4 games in the loss column, Rox are playing tight right now.

The thing is I said 5-12, now it is 5-11 and the Rox have to play STL and LAD down the stretch. As for the Cubs climbing over the Giants they play them so the destiny is in their hands there.

They're going to get close

I really believe Cubs can get between 1-2 games from Wilcard but there just aren’t enough games left. I really want to be wrong though!

I said exactly the same thing.
