Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Ernie Banks, Meet Ernie Banks

Yesterday I heard an interview of Ernie Banks (Mr. Cub) and Ernie Banks on Jonathan Brandmeier's show (around 9am). A coworker heard it too and she called it a "heartwarming interview." It was pretty cool. I believe you can hear the interview on Brandmeier's PodCast. This other Ernie Banks plays for the Washington Wild Things. You can read more about him here. Brandmeier had Mr. Cub on his show and called this young Ernie Banks. The younger Banks was clearly fresh out of bed and was not expecting the call. But he right off expressed his admiration for Mr. Cub.

Missed it by that much.

I did not see that FP, but this was really more to me about the interview by Brandmeier. Give it a listen.

♪Moo Moo, I love you, I know you're a cow but anything will do♪

Didn’t even know Johnny B was back on air in Chicago. I just loved that guy.

I’m not a HUGE Brandmeier fan, in fact I rarely listen. Yesterday I just happened upon it. Glad that I heard that segment.

I moved out to Cal in 1993

and back then Johnny B was very popular(on air and as a performer). I think he released 2 or 3 cds. His music was really good too.

He's now with the River City Rascals

He was traded from Washington about a month ago. He had a big night tonight, going 2-4 with 2 homers and three rbi.

Brandmeier grew up...

in my hometown of Fond du Lac, Wi. Nobody here is overly impressed with him either.
