Lou's an idiot!
How far are you going to go with this gas can on the mound? You got lucky with Pujols, now you let him blow the lead, what next, the game too??
"He can't hit, he can't field, he can't run—all he can do is beat you."
And Wood has blown
a lot of saves himself this year. Not sticking up for Gregg, but Wood ain’t setting the world on fire in the city whose river once caught on fire.

He pitches once a week for a shitty team, I am sure rust sets in a bit.
Whatever though, he’s better than the shit we have(Gregg)
Excuses, excuses

Yep, I do
Neither has been very good this season. I realize it’s verboten to say anything bad about St. Woody, but a lot of Cubs fans were cursing his name the first two months of the 2008 season, so …

They’re in the loge bleachers in right field. I sat there for a game in May, and they were decent seats.
I think I missed your reply to me on the first thread, and you missed my reply to you on the second thread. Story of our lives, I guess. :)

I checked for your reply on the first pitch thread several times, and never saw the reply in the other thread.
When I went to Miller Park, I had front row loge seats in section 231, along the left field side. AMAZING view, seeing as there was no one in front of me.

Typical Lou thinking one batter at time
Taguchi for Hoff, Fuld for Scales, Miles for Fuld. Yep lets run out of outfielders without thinking. Was it really worth it
for Taguchi’s AB. Exactly like the time he used Fuld to pinch hit with two out and no one on and then had to let Fox play
the 9th and misplay a ball but hey Lou is a genius.

I love it! Great pic...
You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat. - Albert Einstein
Which one is better?
That one or this one with Milton?

My gosh, I feel sorry for you about that.
I really need to figure out how to duplicate northsider’s singing flag. The flag should play “Go Cubs Go.”

LaRussa is looking
over his shoulder after tonight.
If you like Selig's handling of the steroid issue, you'll love his choice for next Cub owner.
good night, folks
The post-Milton era begins with a win.

A small but nice victory
Perhaps we can see more Fox and less Gregg & Heilman in the last two weeks.

Hey VCF
If you go to the Cubs game in SF this Thursday, drop me a line. I will be there, and would like to meet another BCB regular.

I'll try to be there, outside the park.
But it looks like I’m going to the Saturday game.
If it looks like I’ll be outside the park on Thursday, I’ll let you know.

Okay, I'll let you know.
FWIW, I like meeting people here. My profile picture here was from a game I went to with a BCB regular at Dodger Stadium a month ago.

I'm on the right.
Ted Lilly is on the left … I also got his autograph at that game.

Enjoy the game, guys
I saw the Cubs at the ’Stick many years ago but would love to see them at AT&T.

Hopefully the Cubs will be on a six-game winning streak by the time you see them.

Thanks
I would like to meet you too, someday, NBF.
I have enjoyed BCB ever since I found it last year. The last friend I had around hwer who is a Cubs fan moved to Santa Barbera five years ago. I have gone to a playoff game with him in Phoenix and one in LA the last two years. Most of my other cheering is on here.

What's this - cheerful, positive, pleasant exchange about having fun watching and cheering for the Cubs?
Are you guys in the right place?
Lou Brown: "My kinda team, Charlie, my kinda team..."
That would be cool, v6
Last time I was at a series in California was in 2003. We went to LA and San Diego. First game in SD was Prior’s comeback from the DL. He was unreal.
We’re strongly considering heading to Seattle for the Cubs-Mariners series next June.
It must really suck to get to see the Cubs in person so rarely.

It is sad not to see them in person
If they played in Europe once in a blue moon, then it wouldn’t be quite as bad…

Just read up on MB...
That guy really needs to finally grow up! Jimbo needs to chuck him permanently.

The sad thing is: MB has a lot of talent.
He seems to have shot himself the foot again and again and again….

so....why hasn't Fox been starting in LF instead of Scales?
Anyone else get that?
I'm a lefty, maybe Lou should give me a shot for a position in the bullpen!!
Hmm interesting point
So have you been off the BCB for a while ?

A really great Series
Games decided in 9th, 9th & 11th. Exciting baseball. Props to Fox. And just another shining example of when Marmol is right, he’s got maybe the most electric stuff in MLB & is just about unhittable.
I'm a Baseball fan first, Cards fan 2nd.
