Bobby Scales
still like that guy
Some people say the glass is half empty, some say half full. I say, are you going to drink that?
I like his perseverance
He doesn’t have a major-league future, but I hope he’s enjoying himself this season (as well as the additional pay he’s getting).

I like him,
He’s just not an outfielder.

What is his position then?

We've got several outfielders who are not outfielders
And we have a guy who is Not Bruce Froemming.
And I can only spell that because he is right there.

But there is a guy
who IS Bruce Froemming at Miller Park

Froemming
lives in Milwaukee. I think he works in Selig’s office these days.
Still can’t forgive him for what he did to Milt Pappas. And a lot of other calls involving Chicago teams after that.
Is Brucie actually at the game tonight?
by Not Bruce Froemming on Sep 21, 2009 9:26 PM CDT up reply actions
Yup
Pat and Ron were talking about how he came up to the booth
Scene: Bleachers, early 1980s
Me: 'Who is that guy down there in shorts, no shirt who thinks he knows everything about baseball?'
True Bleacher Bum: 'You dumbass, that's Bill Veeck!'
Ronnie:

Well, at least
he won’t be wrong.

I think we can be a little tough on Ronnie...
He is NOT a good broadcaster, but damn it, he bleeds Cubbie Blue as good as Any of us!

Nothing feels so good as beating the Brewers...
I'm a truth teller, I'm a risk taker, I'm like Johnny Cash - I walk the line...
Beating the Cards?
That feels MUCH better to me. The Brewers are non-threatening, the Cards?
Well, I just plain don’t like them…
