umpire in their media guide ( who knew but umpires have a media guide) and ask them about golf, family etc then close on the REAL BF and they say his wife’s name is Rosemary so they ask “how is Rosemary”

true, I guess you could add Ramirez tehre

and Grace for the 1990s. But If I had to chose only one hitter, I gotta say it’s Lee. He’s been the most consistent and besides that freak injury, been relatively healthy

You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? First double digit score for the Cubs on the road since July.

Players laughing it up in the clubhouse and playing relaxed. With all that’s transpired over the last 48 hours: coincidence?

You be the judge.

But if these guys go on a 14-game winning streak and finish with 90 wins, people are going to ask the question to Jim Hendry: “What took you so long?”

"Pain don't hurt you none" - Sparky Anderson (1987)

14 Game winning streak? The Cards go on a skid?? It's happening???

To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there’s the rub…
