I apologize to the community for being a drunk over the past month and being inappropriate in terms of talking both poltx and making a lude reference or two. That shouldnt happen and i took my anger of the season out in an unacceptable way. Just wanted to say I apologize.

Apology accepted.

Now we wait for Milton to follow your lead.

As I've told you before, I never repeat myself.

There's nothing wrong

with lude references. In fact, here’s one from abort.com:

In her autobiography, "Here’s The Story," McCormick, who played Marcia Brady in the series, writes candidly about her addiction to cocaine, Quaaludes, pills and mushrooms as she struggled to find work when the series was canceled in 1974 after five seasons.

"My life after Marcia Brady was a whirlwind of experimentation and searching that evolved into a grim spiral of avoidance, denial and self-destruction."

Maybe Marcia Brady could have helped Milton. And now we’ll never know.

One of the greatest movies ever made. :-)

Bah.. it's overrated

And by the way, if my son ever wrecks my car like that, there will be no “talking.”

John Hughes movies were great when I was 16. When I was 19, they were stupid.

I still find "Ferris Buehler's Day Off" pretty amusing.

“The Breakfast Club,” however, is practically unwatchable.

Yeah, I'd agree with that

I’m OK with Ferris until the end part, where Cameron wrecks the car for attention.

I just want to slap every single one of those idiots in “The Breakfast Club”

And any jock that tapes my kid’s ass together better get a bodyguard.

Yeah, "The Breakfast Club"...

…is one of the most horribly OVERacted movies in the history of cinema. It’s like a community college theater troupe on a Hollywood budget. I cringe just thinking about Judd Nelson’s performance.

I actually haven’t seen “Ferris” all the way through in a while, but it seems like a lot of movies get into trouble trying to bring things in for a landing.

May he rest in peace

But I never was a huge John Hughes fan. I enjoyed “Sixteen Candles” but the Home Alone movies were just hideous.

Of course… Mia Sara makes Ferris a LOT more watchable, and you could make the case that Ally Sheedy never looked as good before or since as she did in Breakfast Club, so it’s all good.

I dunno - she looked pretty good in WarGames

and I think her highwater mark on the looking good scale was when she appeared on a few episodes of “Hill Street Blues”.

I know J.D. LaRue would agree with me.

THANK YOU!

I thought I was the only one who thought “The Breakfast Club” was way overrated.

Dude, you won the award for the most vile post of the year...

but I am a big believer of redemption and forgiveness, so apology accepted and welcome back to be a worthwhile contributor to BCB.

it was deleted and deservedly so.

This reminds me of the time in college...

…when my girlfriend and I got into a long, loud fight in the middle of the night and she insisted on posting a note of apology to all of our housemates the next day.

By the way, why did you post a link to Gameday? Maybe just use the Fanshot “quote” feature next time.

You made me look. Couldn't remember what you said.

I can forgive all but the “I hope we lose every game from here on out.” That was just wrong. :) Welcome back.
