In light of all the intangibles discussions here over the last few days, the folks at Baseball Analysts try to measure clubhouse chemistry.

If SABR can't measure it, it's not real
I honestly think the folks at Baseball Analysts are trying to assign a value to something that can’t be assigned. The whole idea is that if the player is not worth the headache, then you cut your losses. The Cubs were correct in cutting ties with Sammy Sosa because his 2005 numbers completely justified the move. It didn’t matter than they didn’t get anything back of value. In the end, it was the Cubs who looked smart in that move and it will be the same with Milton Bradley.
And the eighth and final rule: if this is your first time at Fight Club, you have to fight.

Look at how Sosa performed for Baltimore in 2005. He dropped off the map like a lead weight.
