BA's Northwest League Top 20 Prospects
3 Cubs made it, with top prospect Hak-Ju Lee, number 3 prospect Brett Jackson, and 2nd baseman Logan Watkins ranking 19th. Thoughts? Boise squad was a bit weaker than last year in terms of value, so not surprised that there were only 3 Cubs. Mildly surprised Watkins was that low. I thought he'd be a couple slots higher.

It seems like the Cubs have found quite the thing in Lee
Everything I read about him makes it seem like he is Ichiro playing shortstop. Hopefully he can continue to develop and actually make it to the big leagues.
Just say no to players named Aaron on the Cubs.

If Castro's defense becomes as good as
it can be, then Lee might be more like Ichiro in that he could be moved to the OF. I find the whole exercise on predicting future lineups x years down the road fairly useless, but if you asked me who I thought the CF for the Cubs would be in 2013, I’d guess Lee right now.

I like the idea of Lee playing center
He certainly has the speed to cover lots of ground (from what I’ve read) and that speed is something that it would be nice to see on the Cubs down the line. Plus his skills at the plate (slap hitting, base stealing) would be better (IMO) in center than at second especially if Castro is at short (another slap type hitter).
