New Blog: The Boxing Bulletin for Boxing Fans!

A day earlier, Mariners analyst Mike Blowers predicted that Matt Tuiasosopo would hit his first career home run in his second at bat, on a 3-1 fastball to the second deck in left field. Linked above is their call of his second at bat. Insane. And rest assured, this is 100% legit.

Best call...ever

Maybe he can predict when the Cubs win their next World Series?

Wow...

….thanks for sharing – a nice laugh at a time of the season when we need one!

Nice - They were really enjoying themselves in the booth

You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat. - Albert Einstein

Made me smile...

and I can’t stand Rick Rizz. Not anything against him personally, but Rizz and Bob Rathbun were hired by former UofM football coach (and then-current Tigers’ team president) Bo Schembechler to replace FIRED radio play by play man Ernie Harwell in 1991.

Tigers fans hated these guys- not that they were bad, just that they were carpetbaggers replacing a legend. When the Tigers were sold two years later, Rizz and Rathbun were let go and Harwell was brought back by the new owner.

Pretty wild stuff!

I’m just glad Tuiasosopo is not on the Cubs. Poor Santo would probably just retire after the first game. :-)

Can't remember the year exactly ..

But it was when Andre Dawson was still hacking it out with the Cubs and he was up to bat .. and I was at college in the TV room, with a bunch of fellow slackers. The Hawk looked absolutely zeroed in at that moment and I told them, “The man will launch one deep on the next pitch.”

Bam. Dawson sent a four bagger out into the stands.

Now if only I could have used that prescience to tell me that chasing Ms. Dawn C. for three years at that same school to become Mrs Cubnational was ultimately a futile and insane gesture .. Things might have been easier ..

I don't know which way we will go ..

I was watching jeopardy the other night

Final jeopardy came up and the category was landmarks, I looked over at Mrs.CarolinaCub and said the answer will be Mt. Rushmore and lo and behold I was right…. I still had to tear up the Cubs win the world series betting slip though.

If the world didn't suck we would all fall off.
