Happy 2010

Just got back from dinner the Blackhawks game and getting home with 3 minutes to spare to my parents to ring in the new year with the kids and spend some time before heading home. Left the kids with parents as the cousins are having a New Year’s Eve sleepover just like my cousins and I did when we were kids at my grandmothers.

My hopes for 2010 on a sports level in order of when they would happen.

1. Northwestern beats Auburn,
2. Lovie Smith, Jer ry Angelo and the entire coaching staff is fired from the Bears,
2. Dawson is elected to the Hall of Fame
4. The Bears hire Bill Cowher as head coach and Jim Harbaugh as OC.
5. Cubs get a leadoff hitter.
6. Cubs have awesome start to season.
7. Blackhawks win Stanley Cup.
8. Bulls land a major free agent in this awesome free agent class/
9.; Cubs win world series
10. Jay Cutler starts to show that he is what the Bears thought he was when they traded for him
10. Northwestern has another great season

The entire coaching staff of the Bears?

Dave Toub leaving would be a big loss.

I’d prefer to see John Paxson, Gar Foreman, and Vinny Del Negro unemployed in 2010. They are incompetent and useless.

why are there not any red, white & blue banners along the edge of the stands?

No stock photos from the 3 play-off appearances in the last decade?

the secondary

Kafka eviscerated the Badgers pass defense and they executed their game plan perfectly. While it prob. wouldn’t have made a difference, I am surprised that Jacory Harris didn’t pass more.

Watching the Cap. One Bowl, they should be embarrassed by the condition of that field. The Big Ten and SEC should demand improvements for next year.

Not a mission per se

The character started out on the run from his own people. It never was explained why, exactly, but there were several theories.

Essentially, he goes around looking for adventure and winds up finding trouble, and tries to fix it.

Count me as being unsurprised if Lou Piniella quits before spring training even arrives. I am being 100% dead serious here. There is no way he can be happy with this horse bleep roster being put into his custody. No way on God’s green earth is he happy.
