Season Ticket Invoices are out
. I do not have time to post the price schedule (I'm sure Al will do this later). They are offering STH an Autographed ball with Cashner, Colvin, and Castro on it if you pay by check by the first week in January

Mine are nearly the same price as last year.
I have a full season Terrace Infield package. I think it is $16 less than last year. The new expensive tier included Opening Day, the Yankees, White Sox and July Cards series as well as all Saturday games in the summer. There are more cheaper games. I suspect people with combo plans will be seeing an increase since they have 10 of the 13 most expensive games, but a much lower percentage of the cheaper games.
I am passing on the autographed ball. I need the miles more than the ball so I am paying by CC.

How did you get yours so fast all the way out there in New York City? ;)

We have Separation of Powers in my ticket group. Another guy gets the emails from the Cubs and then forwards them to me. I’ll see it tonight.

A friend of a friend of my husband has the season tickets.
We just split them with her. We split 4 ways for a nights/weekends pkg. It ends up being around 14-16 games. When we got them my husband figured we’d sell some on stubhub since we live sort of far for it to be practical. I didn’t let him though. I went to all but one. I let my daughter have that one.
Look into my eyes!
We got to meet up next year.

Sounds great.
I’m afraid you’ll find out how dumb I really am when it comes to baseball. But I’d love to hear as many Maddux stories as you care to tell.
Look into my eyes!
So you plan on coming in for a whole 10 game homestand?
( that’s how long it might take for the Maddux stories)

I won't claim any other Cubs besides Maddux
in terms of stories.

Have not received mine yet.
When I do, I’ll post the price scheme (as a .pdf).

Received my invoice.
Like Jessica’s, my invoice went down about $16. Big whoop. Unbelievably, the 13 marquee games in the bleachers are going to cost (about) $80. That’s an untenable price for, say, a Saturday game in July vs. the Marlins.
But, it is what it is. I’m renewing mine, obviously. But I’m guessing at these prices, there will be a LOT of cancellations and not that many new STH.
Also, at those prices some of those marquee games will be a VERY difficult sale.
I am going to post the fact sheet and the schedule with the game breakdown as separate fanshots, which I will also put on the front page. Note that the schedule with the game breakdown is only for bleachers — my understanding is that some games may be sold at different levels for different seating areas.

$80? For a bleacher ticket? Um, I think I'll be watching from down on the street with ballhawk...

Can't afford that either...
Whatever happened to $2 bleacher tickets? Oh yeah, the 1960s ended. Damn.

Darn Ryno. Must be HIS fault! ;)

Wow!
Adjusted for inflation, that still couldn’t be more than six or seven dollars in today’s coin. I’m guessing about that. I’m not an economist.

The only team...
… that charges anything close to Cubs prices for bleachers is the White Sox, whose bleacher prices ranged from $34 to $59 last year ($17 on half price Mondays).
The Red Sox charge $28. The Giants, with their dynamic pricing system, range from about $20 to about $40 depending on the date. And bleachers at the new Yankee Stadium are… $14.

we’ve made quite a few improvements out here over the years; time to start paying for them.

Besides, I consider that more of a detraction than improvement.

I am very jealous of all of you season ticket holders, sharers or not. How great is it to see the greatest (not most successful) sports franchise of all time in the greatest ballpark in the greatest city in the world? Seriously, I thank God I was born a Cub Fan and I’m glad and I can catch amost every game on XM/Direct TV. It’s not easy being a Cub fan and I do think is some strange, mystical way we are God’s chosen baseball fans.

One thing I saw in the letter...
That Frank Maloney is retiring. Frank was the one who sold me my 1st season ticket in December of 1983. Frank was the one I always complained to when I had problems with my tickets (until sometime in the mid 90’s when I got a real nice season ticket rep who actually responded to my inquiries to him). Frank has gotten letters from me on several occasions, both relating good and bad and has always answered them with grace. He even got my joke when I mentioned that the people around me wanted me to write him because of our “special relationship”. I always made a point to see him at the conventions and when I saw him at the season ticket holders day at Wrigley this year, as I extended my hand to him he said “well..I have not heard from you in a long time Mr. Ignarski” before I was able to say a word (my daughter was impressed that a Cubs official actually knew who I was without me telling him). I will miss him.
See the Cubs 2011 schedule at http://cubsbythenumbers.com/sched2011.html
Also see what old Cubs Scorecards looked like at http://cubsbythenumbers.com/scorecards.html
Frank Maloney has probably..
… been with the Cubs now longer than anyone still in the organization, 29 years’ worth. What’s most interesting about him is that before he got into this line of work, he was a college football coach, most notably at Syracuse from 1974-1980.

Mr. Maloney was always very nice to me.
Contrary to popular belief I rarely asked questions of management at the “Meet the Management”
session at the Convention, but always asked Mr. Maloney questions about Cubs ticket sale policy.I got the impression he was not crazy about policies like "Premium Tickets " ( The Cubs official scalper/broker). He was an old fashioned kind of guy and I suspect that is not what the Cubs want these days. I wish him a happy retirement.

Dead-tree Tribune article today
In Paul Sullivan’s article today, he had a breakdown of the Cubs 2011 tickets.
Personally, my tickets in the Terrace Reserved Outfield stayed flat – $2563.68 per seat to $2576.00, tax included.
But the Bleachers and the “bowl” have been separated in the ticket scheme. There are different numbers of tickets in all of the tiers for the bleachers vs. the bowl, except the marque. in 2011, what may be a Gold ticket in the bleachers could be a Platinum ticket or a Silver ticket in the bowl.

Correct.
In the front-page fanshot where I have the schedule by ticket price, I posted in the comments a link to the schedule for the “bowl” games. Many more “gold” level games there.
My season tickets went down… by $15. That’s approximately two-tenths of one percent.
"You can observe a lot just by watching." ~ Yogi Berra
My Invoice -
- total was down by six hundred dollars. I am UD – OF Box, 2 seats, 81 games. I like the seats, but I do think they are a bit over priced considering I have to crane my neck at 50-60 degrees to watch 90% of the action.
Down by $600?
Are you sure? Did you check the total amount with the tax added?
