Quade is tough enough for the Cubs job
This was buried a few layers into the ESPN website, and it doesn't look like anyone has linked to it. I like the stories from his siblings - it takes me back.

Nice article by Melissa Isaacson
She’s a long time Chicago sports writer. She wrote a solid story without injecting unnecessary point sabout the Cubs.
"Easy on the words, brother,'' Quade said.
Very nice article
And on this night, the Forest View kids decided to get clever during pregame introductions.
How’d that work out for Forest View? Oh, they got pummeled by the Knights of Prospect, then became an “alternative school”.
The whole Quade family is a class act – had the pleasure of living 4 doors down from them for most of my childhood.
"A good cigar is like a beautiful chick with a great body who also knows the American League box scores." Corporal Maxwell Q. Klinger
Nice article from Melissa.
He has a great supportive family.
A lovely story:
One day, long, long ago, there lived a woman who didn't whine, nag or bitch. That would be me....
But that was a long time ago and it was just that one day.
The end
Well if Kruker thinks it's a good hiring
I’m all for it!
Good article though. Nice to know he’s a good guy but truth be told it’s all about results at this point.

pretty much
it was obvious sandberg would not get the job as time went on. you could see the difference as soon as pinella left. that shows you how tired the players were of lou. mike did a great job and lets hope he does a great job next year.
