$2.1 Million

Uh, no! That’s more than 70 times what I take home in a year after taxes.

So, save up all your take home for the next 70 years....

LOL

You know if housing prices keep going down, it may not take 70 years. Housing prices have been going down in recent years in raw dollars without bothering to adjust for inflation. Seriously, I’m shooting for something that at most would be 10% the value of Lilly’s Chicago home. That’s stretching it.

Generally Speaking Yes

Even though, a lot of that depends on what parts of the cities we are comparing. A lot of the southside of Chicago away from the University of Chicago and the Museum of Science and Industry looks remarkably like north Memphis to me with all the poverty and blight.

Taxes

The property taxes are listed as $38,445.

that's not bad

Out by me, that priced home property taxes would be closing in on 6 figures.

We could all go in on it

When my brother was based out of Midway him and a bunch of his pilot buddies had a crash pad (terrible name for a house for pilots), by the airport. I say we all go in on Ted’s place. Divvy up the days we want to use it. $10,000 apiece or so. Do the math, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, I wouldn’t mind sleeping on the couch in a crib like that. We can make it work.

We'd need about 200 people with $10,000 "or so".

And 100 euros.

Anyone else want to donate?
