Cubbies pass on Webb
It appears as if the Cubbies are taking a pass on Webb (or Webb is passing on the Cubs). The Rangers definitely have the financial resources available after missing out on FA targets this off season. It'll be interesting to see how this turns out...

He'll still go to best 1 year deal he can get.
That could still be the Cubs IMO.
We'll miss you Big Boy. #10 for Hall of Fame.
-1 for taking it seriously enough to feel it merited a response.

No doubt. Especially once the holidays come and go.
At least we’ll have some baseball discussion in a couple of weeks. Then spring training can’t be far behind.

Does anyone care....
who the NL Central team was? Even though he signed with the Rangers already and everything is done, I’m surprised nobody was asking. And since we weren’t that “Mystery Team”, that makes it more interesting to me.
Good
I’d rather not take a risk on Webb. Let someone else be disappointed.

WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!
3 Million for a pitcher who hasnt pitched in 2 years and a contract that could be as much as 8.5 mill is bad.!
This has mark prior written all over it.
