Ticket Exchanges: General 2010 Ticket Exchange

This post is for 2010 ticket exchanges -- during the season, I'll make posts for specific homestands, but you can use this one if you are looking for tickets several months out.

This post is being made on February 1, nearly three weeks before single-game tickets go on sale. Keep in mind that you still have a chance to get the tickets you want that day. Remember, face value only for any ticket posts at BCB.

If comments get closed on this post (and they will, because I'm leaving this up all year and the site auto-closes comments after 21 days), email me and I'll reopen them.

If you have specific dates that you want, I will compile a list and do my best to get you those games. It will be easier to get weekday games and early season games, but I can try for any game requested.

EXACT DATE & TIME?

Can someone please tell me the exact date & time that individual game tickets are going on sale this year?

I have been all over the internet and can’t find any exact, reliable information.
The mlb.com Cubs site is a complete joke right now.

Thanks in advance.

PS – sorry to put this in this thread, didn’t want to start a fan shot just for this. THX>

It's been posted a few times here that February 19th was the date

announced at the Cubs Convention – if so then it would most likely mean wristbands available on the 17th-18th and drawing at 6 a.m. on the 19th -

I don't have tickets to those games, but...

as of right now, there are still plenty of tickets available for that 8/6 game that you mentioned. You can even get up to TEN bleacher tickets together. The 8/7 game will be tougher to get because it’s a Saturday game, but I’m sure that eBay will have a few auctions posted in the near future. Just thought I’d share my insight.

For Sale at Face Value - includes Prime Games

I have two tickets as part of a partial season ticket plan in the Upper Deck Box, Section 409. I’ve added some prime summer weekend games to make it more enticing.

Saturday, April 17 – Houston
Thursday, April 29 – Arizona
Saturday, May 15 – Pittsburgh
Saturday, May 29 – St. Louis
Sunday, June 20 – Anaheim
Friday, July 16 – Philadelphia
Tuesday, August 3 – Milwaukee
Tuesday, August 17 – San Diego
Wednesday, September 8 – Houston

I’m willing to sell at face, but for every weekend (Fri-Sun) game you’d like, I’d ask that you also purchase 2 weekday games. So please don’t ask if you can just cherry-pick the Saturday Cards or other prime games…

Anyhow, last I checked, I believe about half of these games are sold out.

If interested, please email me at wellman.brian@gmail.com

Still looking to unload 4 face value Cubs @ Reds tickets on 4/9/10...

The eBay transaction had to be cancelled due to payment problems…

I have 4 tickets (field box, section 110, row G) that I am selling for face value ($34/ticket). The total price is $136.00. They will also be listed on eBay tonight at 7:00 PM CST (search Cubs Reds 4/9/10, 1-Day auction). I need to sell all 4 tickets together and won’t be able to split them in pairs. Game date is Friday, April 9, 2010 at the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati. The drive down from Chicago isn’t too bad—-I did it last year. I bought these tickets from a broker in January and will be receiving them in mid-March. It’s too bad I can’t use them anymore, but my loss is your gain.

Email me for the face value tix at mikegncb34@gmail.com if interested. We will then work out a way to execute the transaction. Go Cubs!!!

Need a parking pass...please help if you can...

Went to the box office today and found out that parking passes for SUNDAY, JULY 4TH are sold out for both the Irving Park Lot and the Green Lot. I could take the train in, but I prefer to drive. If anyone can help me out by either selling a pass to me (preferably the Irving Park Lot) or guide me to where I could find one, please email me at:

mikegncb34 (at) gmail (dot) com

…Or please respond to this.

Thanks!!

If you don't mind parking on the nearby streets...

there will be plenty of spots available if you get there fairly early; 90+ minutes before 1st pitch. That’s another great thing about day games.

I always find a spot a few blocks West (still East of Ashland) near Waveland or near Roscoe (3400N) right by the Brown Line tracks. Just watch the street signs.

Parking off Roscoe is especially good since I can stop in at Lucky’s for a great sandwich right there on Clark St.

Just win the next game...!

Have a pair vs. the Angels

Sunday, June 20 Section 205, Row 12, seats 9-10

Didn’t realize that my plane was leaving so early, and I would miss this game altogether when I purchased them..

Selling for what I paid for them.. $97.00 even for the pair. Can scan tickets to prove I have them in my possession, and willing to include charge receipt with all my info on it in case there is a problem.

2 Field Box seats for 8/6 with Reds, under face

I have 2 seats (field box section 101) for the Cubs/Reds game on Friday August 6 at 1:20.That section may be family/no alcohol, the tickets don’t say anything so if it matters to you, contact the Cubs to confirm.

Face was $156.80 for the pair plus the junk fees, I’ll take $150 plus shipping (or if you can get to downtown Chicago you can save shipping and pick them up).

Email at Paultulane77@aol.com or post here, but I don’t check posts every day.

Road trip anyone? I have 2 tickets for all three games in DC 8/23 to 8/25. 8/23 are section 117L Row J. The 24th and 25th are section 208 row A.

The Cubs go from DC to Cincy and I have 2 seats for Friday 8/27 and Saturday 8/28.
Friday’s are scout seats, section 22, row G. Saturday are dugout box seats. Box 115, row F which is the 1st row in that section.

This would be a great road trip for you. If interested contact me at behenna@sbcglobal.net.

looking for july 24 cubs/cards tix

need 2-4 tickets together for that saturday, 7/24 game. not too worried about where considering this game is already practically sold out.

i have a whole slew of cardinals fans driving in for the game with their tickets already, and us cubs fans here still don’t have our own! thanks much. :)

4 Tickets - Cubs vs. Atlanta Sunday 8/22 @ 1:20 PM

Tickets are side-by-side and are in section 202 row 16.

Unloading them technically under face value because I bought them for $150 on Cubs.com about a month ago. I cannot go now unfortunately and am just looking to get some money back.

Selling all four for $120 (30/each)…Face + Tax is $32.48.

OT: Baseball alive at old Tiger Stadium site
I have to admit, i didn't expect this to work, and i generally don't condone ratting somebody out, but i think Woo Woo inspires special circumstances.

He was a few rows above me and a group of maybe a hundred other University of Iowa alumni last night, and started right in with the wooing early and loud. Between innings, he was... how shall i say this... creeping around? We all know his reputation.

Within 10 minutes of making a complaint to the Cubs text line, he was gone. Might be worth trying in future instances.

Sorry for the crappy picture quality... just got a new phone (HTC EVO) and am not sure how to take screen caps yet.
