I'm a full season ticket holder and the Cubs contacted me yesterday offering a seat upgrade. My 4 seats are currently in section Terrace Infield Reserve 233, row 16. They offered to move me to Outfield Field Box 140, row 11.
The field box seats are obviously better seats, but the prices are a LOT more. For most games the seats are twice as pricey as my current seats.
Does anyone have any opinion as to if the upgrade woud be worth it? I'm leaning against the upgrade because they are just so expensive (the top games are $70 a ticket) but I wonder if it would be absurd not to take the opportunity to move up?
In my current seats I almost never have trouble selling and getting my money back on games I don't go to...I wonder if this would be the case with the pricier seats.
Also it would cost me like $1000 as a one-time thing since I've already sold like 12 crappy games on Stubhub in my old seats for face value. I'd have to give those buyers my new seats, so they'd basically be getting them half price on me.
