2010 BCB Community Projections: Ted Lilly
Now that we have all breathed a sigh of relief after finding out that Ted Lilly's knee soreness was "normal wear and tear", what do you think Ted will do this year?
It's a contract year for Ted, but he'll miss at least some time during April. Various reports have him returning any time from mid-April to May 1. (Unless you're on the Phil Rogers calendar, in which case "June 1" is your answer. Phil must have forgotten to adjust for Daylight Saving time.)
Ted made 27 starts in 2009. It doesn't seem unreasonable for him to make about that many this year. If he could have the year he had in 2009 again, the Cubs will be in good shape. There's a special category just for Ted on the form.

I'm going optimistic on this one
And penciling him in for 30 starts because he sounds like he wants in by mid-April.

I am going less
26 starts, knee issues, etc.. IF somehow he could win 12 -14 games this year, I would take it. I guess I am just playing it safe.
I am positive of
45 starts and 50 wins
…and maybe the Silver Slugger at CF.

Speaking of CF's
Anyone know if Jim Edmonds has signed yet? Why aren’t the Cubs giving him a look after the production he gave us in 2008??
Because he signed a minor league deal with the Brewers a few weeks ago.

And they already have a centerfielder

173 wins, all of them are complete games.
He struck out every better he faced this year.

34 catchers run over, 26 of them went on the dl.
15 of them were done for the year and Yadier may never walk again.

one of
hendrys best moves. dont think i ever heard anyone complain about this contract. ted has been solid in his 3 years here. december should be interesting to see what the cubs do with lily and lee.
And Ramirez

anyway to know which projections we've finished?
I got off track somewhere and not sure which one’s I’ve missed!
The starting eight....
… plus the first four starting pitchers. Search the site for “2010 BCB Community Projections” and you’ll find all of them.
