Marmol's Control is___________________
Per Carrie Muskat...Marmol plunked Starlin Castro in the back during batting practice....hopefully these issues don't translate to the season.

also....note Nady's quote....
this is worrying. If he doesn’t start the season, the Cubs will be down an outfielder, a starting pitcher, and maybe a setup man. Maybe though, if he isn’t on the opening day roster, Tracy or Millar will get an extra chance to hit on the major league level. Also any thoughts on Hoffpauir? Can he go to Japan or does he have to go to the minor leagues because he is on the 40 man?
Hoffpauir's best option is Japan.
Would everyone please remember what you see on the sidebar?
It’s 36 days till Opening Day — five weeks from Monday. A lot can happen in that amount of time. The Cubs will play 34 games in the first 36 days after Opening Day — that’s a significant chunk of the season.
Patience.

Lol. That deserves a green.
Some men learn through what they read. Some men learn through what they're told. Some men have to piss on the railroad tracks. And some men keep on pissin'.
MY FIRST GREEN!!!!

Not concerned - at least not yet.
There isn’t a single pitcher in camp right now who won’t plunk a batter… the control just isn’t there.
Let’s at least get to March before any real concern over Marmol’s control sets in.
marmol
will probably be like most other cub closers.brilliant at times and very frustrating.
So do we analyze every Spring Training appearance
and project it for the whole season? I can’t wait to see if someone hits a HR in the first game. 162 HR’s for the year!

It's February for crying out loud
you actually expected pitchers to have good control? Good grief.
I always turn to the sports section first. The sports page records people's accomplishments; the front page has nothing but man's failures.

If you read the article, it actually states that Marmol looks better this early than ever before
So, to expect pitchers and catchers to report and start throwing 95 mph nibbling the corners 2 weeks after camp starts is insane!
