OT: Need Clarification: CitiField gets Chicago Dogs?

Ok, being that many of you are from Chicago, this post might not be for you.  However for all of us out of staters, I heard from a friend and trying to find clarification (looks to be true) that CitiField will or already has Chicago Style Hot-Dogs in their park.

When I went there last year I certainly didn't see any but I wasn't looking. Apparently these dogs are being offered at CitiField's "Shake Shack" which does offer Chicago Dogs in their other locations (apparently authentic Vienna Beef). Does anyone from the NY area know if this is true about CitiField? Getting a Chicago Dog would convince me to go to 3-4 games at CitiField this year instead of 1-2.

*Just for the record, once you get to the East Coast you can't get Chicago Dogs, Italian Beef or Deep Dish Pizza so this is kind of a big deal to me.

I live in Colorado

and Coors has Chicago-style dogs. We also have a couple of places that served Italian beefs, combos, pizza puffs, polish, and dogs. Aptly, it’s named “Chicago.”

If you are really desperate.

Portillo’s ships Chicago-style beef and hot dogs. I’ve never done this so I can’t recommend it. I just knew about it because I considered sending it as a gift to a friend that moved out of state. It was more than I wanted to spend though so I didn’t do it.

Done it before

Very very good.

But sometimes you just want one and not have to cook it.

I have friends in NYC and I’m pretty sure somewhere around Columbus Avenue there’s an Uno’s. So, there’s your deep dish! They probably serve other Chicago stuff too!

Ewww

Uno’s is not good. It’s very chain and tasteless. Just horrible. And no, they don’t serve other Chicago stuff there unfortunately.
