Braves set their regular season rotation
Opening day goes to Lowe, then Jurrjens, and Hanson. Interesting that they are waiting to pitch Hudson until the 4th game, but I'll certainly take it.
So it'll likely be Lowe vs. Z, Jurrjens vs. Dempster, and Hanson vs. Wells.

Agreed.
If, somehow, Lilly is ready, he’d go in game #3, and Wells in game #4.

Jurrjens
He’s been complaining of a sore shoulder for the past couple weeks. Also, I predict Hanson has the best year out of anyone on their staff.
Hanson is outstanding.
He could be a Cy Young candidate.

I could see that happening.
I don’t think the Cubs faced Hanson last year. I’m excited to see him pitch, even if it’s on TV.
Hey, it's a new century!

Hanson is spectacular
But don’t count out Jurrjens. I think he’ll have a big year as well

True
I’m thinking he was just over taxed as a young pitcher. We’ll see I guess

Jurrjens hurt?
Looks like the Braves need to sign Smoltz, Pedro, Calero or somebody fast. The season is almost here!

Jurrjens, Hanson is a helluva one-two punch brewing in Atlanta
Jurrjens impresses the daylights out of me. Assuming of course his shoulder is okay he should be poised for huge things. Hanson has electric stuff. He’s going to be a frontline pitcher. Then you have Lowe, Hudson and Kawasaki (or is it Yamaha) rounding the rotation.
That’s some good stuff.
The Blackhawks and the Stanley Cup in 2010.
Hanson will be great someday.

I have to assume they are starting Lowe...
…opening day as an olive branch for all the trade rumors over the offseason? It just doesn’t seem to fit. Unless they are thinking that Lowe owns the Cubs.

Lowe ain't chicken feed
Not overpowering like the others, but steady and reliable.

Me either Jim
He was good in the 1st half, horrible in the 2nd. I’m gonna guess the Atlanta humidity got to him and he just wasn’t ready for it.

Some notes coming from a Braves fan
I think the reason we picked DLowe for opening day is 2 reasons:
1. He hasn’t been injured at all.
2. He threw 8 scoreless innings against the Phillies last year on opening night.
Jair Jurrjens had a sore shoulder, took a few days off, started a throwing program and then threw a 15-pitch bullpen session today without
any discomfort. Huge news for Braves fans.
I think Hudson, who’s coming off Tommy John
Surgery, will be given a few extra days to get full arm strength back. No reason to rush him with so many off days.

Cubs rotation
is setting up also. If you count every 5 days for Wells it has him starting the 3rd game. Sets up Demp also to do opening game at Wrigley.
