would catch that sort of stuff. Unless these writers are like the animators at Disney that like to intentionally put this kind of stuff in the kids stories

To eliminate exclusion, we cut out the differences to feel like we belong.
Don't forget in England and several decades ago this may not have had the same meaning.
For example a common nick name for girls back in the 20s and 30s in the U.K. was Titty. There is a marvelous children’s book series which was never sold in the States because of this name.

that no one is buying into the Lou Piniella “I’m not worried about it. It’s a muscle, how long can it linger.” Not that Lou owes anyone the truth, and he certainly doesn’t, but I think it’s going to be an issue going forward. My guess is it is one of two things: tendonitus which can’t get any worse so he just needs to play through pain. Or a strain. If it’s a strain, don’t plan on seeing him for a while.

What does "auf wiederehen" mean?
Who cares if he's a Cubs fan? This is a football forum! He is a PACKER fan as well. So, from now until March, I’m sure he’ll dedicate a lot of his time here. In late March, then we can be enemies during the baseball season. Besides, the Cubs have perhaps the most loyal baseball fanbase in the country. You have to respect that.

As such I’ve never seen the word Wiederehen before, but one really cool thing about German is, it is like Lego. You can build new words based on shorter old words. An example for this: Herzkreislaufwiederbelebung (heart-circle-run-again-enlivenment) = C.P.R.
