Will Yesterday's Attendance Record Fall Today? - Cubs vs. White Sox at Glendale Preview, Friday 3/19, 3:05 CT
The Cubs and Dodgers set a Cactus League attendance record yesterday. Check out the note at the end of this column:
The Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers set a Cactus League attendance record Thursday with 13,391 fans, 25 more than a game between the Cubs and Seattle Mariners drew in 2004. All of the top-10 attendance games in Cactus League history belong to the Cubs.
Today's game was noted as "sold out" on the Camelback Ranch ticket windows yesterday.
Ted Lilly returned to camp yesterday after being with his wife and newborn son, and is optimistic that he'll return sooner rather than later. He's still on target to make at least one Cactus League start after throwing a simulated game.
Randy Wells will face John Danks this afternoon. Lineup via tweet from Carrie:
SS Theriot, RF Fukudome, 1B Lee, DH Nady, CF Byrd, LF Soriano, 2B Fontenot, C Hill, 3B Baker and P Wells
Today's game is on TV -- CSN Chicago -- also on both Chicago radio stations, WGN and WSCR Here is the complete MLB.com Mediacenter for today. If you can't see or listen to the game live, it will be available on tape-delay on the MLB Network at 10 pm CDT.
Today's first pitch thread will post at 3 pm CDT, and the overflow thread at 4:15 pm CDT.
Discuss amongst yourselves.

I agree.
What does “auf Wiederehen” mean?
Who cares if he's a Cubs fan? This is a football forum! He is a PACKER fan as well. So, from now until March, I’m sure he’ll dedicate a lot of his time here. In late March, then we can be enemies during the baseball season. Besides, the Cubs have perhaps the most loyal baseball fanbase in the country. You have to respect that.
Go Pack!

This will be a nice treat on the radio for me...
Always nice to drive home to see the parents with a Cubs game on… is it sad I plan my travel plans around when I can catch a game on the radio?
Hey, that's good time management!
Hey, it's a new century!

At the least,
You’re doing something good with your time while driving.

I don't mean to sound arrogant
But the Cubs are the team with the biggest draw to the Cactus league. Why wouldn’t Mesa officials want to figure out a way to keep them there.
Oh crap...
here it comes.
As I've told you before, I never repeat myself.

It's like asking
why do you continue to try to date the Supermodel when she acts like a bitch and dumps you the minute she is doesn’t like something or decided her rival’s boyfriend is better looking and she wants him instead?
GO CUBS GO!

Anyone know who's announcing on CSN today?
Just wondering if it will be a volume on or volume off day. Thanks!

Good question.
I tried looking but couldn’t find any info at all.

Judging by the MLB.com schedule...
I’m pretty sure it is Sox broadcasters. It is listed on their schedule as CSN & MLBN, but on Cubs schedule it is only listed as MLBN.
Looks like a volume off day
I hate listening to The Hawk almost as much as Cartman hates Kyle.

I've always enjoyed Hawk just like I do Ronnie
Unfortunately I felt like stabbing a pencil in my ears everytime DJ was on my speakers. Now that Stoney is there, I don’t mind their broadcasts so much. They have formed the worst radio tandem I’ve ever heard by moving DJ to the booth with the brutal “Farmio” as a consequence.
Who thinks the Cubs will go after another bullpen arm if someone gets cut or via trade?
Any good potential candidates out there from other teams that have deep pens? I’m assuming Heath Bell is not an option, but you never no with SDO.
