Tips for finding Cubs memorabilia
I was looking for a few autographs and collectables to add to my collection. I was wondering if anyone had any favorite shops or websites that I should look at? Personally looking for an Aramis signed photo. I googled it I just dont know if i trust getting something like that on a website. Thank you again for your imput.

check ebay...I have had a lot of luck on there....
Just make sure you check the sellers feedback to make sure it is legit….
You will never move forward by looking back....

Buying autographs online can be kind of tricky...
You need to be careful where you get them from. Like Santo’s Grace said, if you are going to go with the eBay route, always check the seller’s feedback and even contact the seller to hear the story on how he or she was able to acquire the autograph. Another way to go is just look for local signings that Aramis will be at. The only TRUE way that you know the autograph is legit is if you get it from him in person.
Good luck on E-Bay
You can probably get something fairly reasonably priced (haven’t looked, just guessing), but the percentage of autographs out there that are fake is incredibly high. If you’re looking for the closest thing to a guarenteed auto, your best bet is off of mlb.com shop. More expensive, but I can’t think they’d sell anything that hasn’t been authenticated. Like mikegnc34 said, there’s only one way to know if it’s real and that’s to get it yourself. Either way you go, good luck.
REMEMBER TO DOUBLE CHECK....
A fake signature item has no value at all . The problem is that it is very hard to detect when written on a hat, shirt or like item . I would assume you would be spending alot of money for the item . Contact the seller obtain his complete version of how the signature was acquired . Did any one else see the player sign the item ?
I once saw a item on ebay for sale . The seller claimed the player had signed it three weeks before in Boston . When I checked the schedule the team had not even been to Boston yet . Gotta do your home work. Good Luck.
As an example.
There are plenty of Joe DiMaggio signed items on the market. Almost all of the signatures are legible, look the same, and on baseballs, are signed on the sweet spot.
It’s been said that about 75% of the items that bear DiMaggio signatures that were not signed in the presence of someone else (i.e., items he had been sent to have signed) were signed by his sister. She got so good at it that you almost literally cannot tell the difference.
I have a DiMaggio ball that I paid about $75 for — 20+ years ago. It was sold to me by a reputable dealer who said it was legit. But who knows?

thanks alot
Thank you for the imput. I have found a few that come with a certificate of authenticity so I think that may be the way to go.
I hate to be negative...
But you also have to be careful with certificates of authenticity as well. Anyone with a computer can design one and call something authentic. Again, just be careful…that’s all I’m saying. Good luck!
well for you more experenced buyers
what do you think of this? Seems pretty legit to me but then again I am only a newbie.
It definitely looks legit, but you still have to...
contact the seller and make sure you get the story on how it was acquired, where he was, etc…always better to be too cautious than get ripped off. Chances are that yes, it is legit, but it doesn’t hurt to double-check
