Baseball Prospectus Projections
I am sure this has already been discussed and I just can't find it...sorry to repeat. I have seen a couple of the 2010 Baseball Prospectus Standings projections on the MLB Channel recently (Yankees in third place, A's winning the AL West!). Obviously I am wondering where they have our Cubs projected to finish, and also just curious as to how all the standings were projected. If anyone has this information and can share it, I would appreciate it.

You might not have noticed it,
but there’s a search box in the upper right hand corner of the main page. It’s quite handy when you want to check to see if a topic has been discussed.
Hey, it's a new century!
I hope this helps:
The previous BCB discussion has the cubs winning 79-82 games this year. Baseball Prospectus is a subscription site, so you can’t just “look it up on the internet”.

BP has the Cubs a few games under .500.
We discussed it a few weeks ago in a FanShot, but those things scroll away pretty fast.
Basically, they expect some players to bounce back, the starting pitching to regress, and for the end result to be similar to last year.
I think that there’s a pretty good link on The Cub Reporter discussing the individual projections. I’d expect that our BP projection will slide a game or so after losing Angel Guzman, but it’s pretty consistently been between 78-80 this preseason.
