Rami, or what is going on here?

I checked online to see what happened to my Cubbies today.

I noticed one particular player had a very auspicious day.

I'll let another famous Chicagoan illustrate the feat:

I logged onto BCB to witness the outrage in non-real time, AND GUESS WHAT?

Normal, regular old 'You suck Rami!' vitriol. Not a single mention of the Golden Sombrero.(Yeah, I know it was an extra inning game, but stil it was an F'ING GOLDEN SOMBRERO!

I'm not sure what is going on around here, perhaps the Jack Brickhouse inspired crew who yell down anyone who utters mostly negative comments, but it was an F'ING GOLDEN SOMBRERO!

I'm kind of glad I was out hiking in the rain in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge with my lovely wife and dog instead of having to witness the run-of-the-mill outrage over Ramirez's F'ING GOLDEN SOMBRERO on this site.

I know it looks bad, everyone expecting the worse from Rami, so the outrage meter does not redline when he does his usual what-the-hell-are-we-paying-him-$16 million-for effort and figures it is over.

I quote another great Chicagoan: "Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!"

Now excuse me while I listen to the archive of the game and to Ron Santo who will give me some real outrage.

Good day.
