Around SBN: Indy 500: 'Greatest Spectacle In Racing' Set For Sunday

At the bottom of the linked column, Paul Sullivan lists the cubs 8 regulars stats for the month of May. I knew it was bad, but good lord.

So in terms of .BA

DLee was our third best hitter in May…that’s not good.

But atleast when someone makes a post about how this is all Lee’s fault and others should be hitting third…we should point this out. He’s playing just as well as everyone else.

That's sad...

…but yeah, you’re right.

Although, there’s no reason that Ramirez and his .494 OPS should be batting 4th.

True but if Lee

is hitting a dismal number, the guy in front of him isn’t going to see many good pitches knowing a K/GIDP victim is coming up next. Hitting is contagious. This team can’t hit a 12 pound sack of shit if it was set right in front of them.

Time to shuffle or let kids play that want to.

Ramirez is way worse though, not calling out D.Lee, I thought he started showing signs of life at the end, which may attribute as to why he was one of the leaders. Take thqt Dodgers series of the equation and he didn’t do much like the rest.

Get the kids a chance.

For the year

Castro 310/.355/.414 in 87 AB
Colvin .306/.366/.625 in 72 AB

They have the 9th and 10th most AB on the team (Nady also has 72AB)

Lee's batting average

is exactly the same as Theriot’s OBP.

But Soriano sucks, right?

It starts and stops with A-Ram

In my opinion, if the #4 place hitter does HIS job (run producing) then that’ll take the pressure off of everybody else to HAVE to pick him up. Maybe it isn’t that simple.

DLee was at least on the way up most of the month,

until this last cold spell. ARam has been south of dismal and is in desperate need of a GPS to find his way back.

This is only the beginning....Lou Pinella end of '07 season and Chicago Transit Authority (the band when they were really good).

He's so far off..

a GPS can’t even find out where he is at.

Maybe next year is finally our year.
