Good lineup.
Posted in the game preview, just up.

not sure i'm loving the Byrd/Soto sit
but the other parts are good. The thing about Soto is he is really the only viable alternative, so he’s a guy who we just have to hope plays out of the slump. And Byrd has been a defensive/energy asset and is fine offensively but…Lou is trying and I give him props for sending the message.
Nice job by Savior
Everyone else, well, nice try.

The B-Team Played
Like the B-Team. Scoring 2 runs. Honestly, the bench is not going to win many games for us. We all know the answer, its Lee and Ramirez. That’s it.
Colvins & Castro’s bat will compliment the domination our #3 and #4 should be giving us. It’s not hopeless yet…but if a team ever felt like it needed to be blow up and started from scratch, the Cubs are the team for that to happen!
This is part of Piniella's problem
He either does some minor tweak (like benching Theriot) or goes ape-crap crazy. How about just sticking with Lee and Ramirez (Unless Ramirez is injured) and moving them down the lineup? Lee and Ramirez are still the best options for this team through the end of the season. They just shouldn’t be hitting 3, 4, or 5 right now.

Part of the problem is that this lineup will get only 1 game to produce or its over. Lee,Theriot, and Rami have been less then good for a long stretch but they will be right back in there since we lost.
I understand playing the righties vs the LHP but unless someone has a great day, why do the subs not get as long a look as the guy hitting .160?
