My choice to replace Lou

Now I am going to think outside the box, go unconventional, and probably have a mob of BCBers outside my apartment calling for my head once they read my post, but that will add to the fun.  Just be careful of my tomato and green pepper plants, they are innocent in this.

First of all, I respect Lou and what he has done in the past, but he might be better off in some type of "special assistant" role at tis time in his career.  He is not an idiot, he has forgotten more baseball then most of us will ever know.

Second, my replacement might be as crazy enough to bring ERICHANNA! back from the dead, so here goes.

Steve Stone replaces Lou.

Ok, ok, ok, please stop kicking my dog, she is innocent, it was not her idea.

Why Stone?  Well there are a few reasons I believe this could be a good thing.

First of all, he is one hell of a baseball student, and knows more than many on BCB will acknowledge due to their personal feelings towards him.  Sure he has an ego, but so do 99% of everyone who is a professional athlete, just not all of them sit in front of a TV camera on a mic for 3+ hours a day calling games.

Second reason, he wants to tell others how to manage, fine.  Here is the ship you guide it, and lets see if you can do better.  Like it or not, I believe he would be an improvement.  over Lou.  I would love to see how he handles some of the big contract players when they are slumping and sulking about it.

Third, this is all about BCBers.  For those who hate Stone it is a win/win situation.  If Stone gets the team to improve and play better, we see more wins, and winning can cure a lot of problems.  Now, if he cannot do better, than those on BCB who cannot stand him get to have the sweet revenge of seeing him fired.

My prediction, Stone would not accept the offer even if it was given to him, because he knows Sandberg is in the wings waiting for 2011.
