Boston can't be too disappointed, seeing how they just hosted in 1999. Despite that Bud still sounds like a jackass.

No chance Cubs are getting 2014...

I’m guessing.

I know the Cubs...

… are lobbying to get MLB to switch the alternate-year league schedule so they can get 2014. That has already been done once — NL cities hosted back to back in 2006 (Pittsburgh) and 2007 (San Francisco).

I suspect a lot of this depends on when the Cubs announce their Triangle Building and other plans for renovations, and show MLB that they will actually be finished with them by 2014.

2016 More Likely?

That would give the Cubs two more years to get the Triangle Building and the renovations done. 2016 would also be the 100th anniversary of the Cubs moving to the stadium now known as Wrigley Field.

Maybe.

They’d still have to make the NL the even-numbered-year league.

Good for them!

I know the city had economic issues around the renovations of the new ball-park. That has to ease some of that stress.

I hear the park is beautiful and hey you never know by 2012 they might actually be a winning team again!

Hmm the first two sentences sound good.

the last one sure sounds TJ-ish lol.

That's a shame

Kansas City and PIttsburgh should be contracted by 2012.
