Ramirez to Rehab in Peoria This Weekend
Just saw this in my email, looks like he'll be starting Saturday and Sunday down in Peoria. Good to see him getting eased back in, instead of just stuck back at 3rd with the big club.

Unless his injury hampers his fielding
he should be at 3B. He’s been a little inconsistent this year, but he’s a better fielder than Baker, Tracy, or Fontenot.
His injury was hampering his fielding before. I can't think that the amount of time he had to heal
at his age did a lot for him. I’d sure DH him myself given the chance since he is coming back this early.

Given how poorly he's been hitting
he really needs to stay down until he’s completely healed. Of course, given the Cubs’ history, that certainly isn’t what will happen.
sick
this might mean me going to a couple games this weekend since i live like 10 minutes from the park. lol
2 days?
He better hit the cover off the ball if all he’s getting is 2 days down there.
It never gets to be easy
It's more a matter of getting his timing back and making sure there's no lingering pain...
… rather than any specific game results.

I would think it would take more than 2 days....
…to get timing back that he has never had all season.
I would like to see him play at least 3 or 4 games in the minors.
This.
Course I’m biased to begin with, I think he should have been on the DL much longer, given his age and performance this season.

Exactly
If he’s hitting the ball, seeing it well. Fine. I don’t care if he hits directly at someone each time he’s at the plate. I just have a hard time believing 2 games and bring him back up does anything other than hamper the team and prevent someone else from playing.

Call me...
blindly optimistic, but I can envision a scenario where Aramis comes back after his time off and returns to the Aramis that we’ve seen basically his entire career in Chicago.
I sure hope so.
I’m not sure that two games are adaquate rehab by themselves….but he wasn’t going to agree to do much more anyway. The only thing that makes me nervous about this is given how badly he has played this year against his yearly average, he needed more time on the DL before going to Iowa to get healthy. It’s odd to think he was affected that much and could be “healed” from an injury doing that in such a short period of time. Regardless, I sure hope it works.

I saw a quote
that Aramis said he’s still not 100% and won’t be for awhile. If that’s the case, why aren’t the Cubs keeping him on the DL?
DEJESUS!!!
for the same reason the cubs didnt let grabow rot on the DL
i dont know what that reason it
