Latest From The Cubs Ticket Office
I just received the latest email from the Cubs Ticketing and the title of the email was "Be at Wrigley to see the future of the Cubs". There was no other text other than listing the June games with the A's. Does this mean we will have a new manager after the Sox series?? Or that we will be seeing a lot more of the younger players? Agreed
The “Be at Wrigley to see the future of the Cubs” was about the Road to Wrigley game on July 7th. There were too lazy to change their standard format for the email to make it more obvious.
I know the Marketing Department has no insider info but....
I do believe Lou will be gone sooner rather than later. Does he get let go before or after the White Sox Series??
I've got a gut feeling that if they don't win tonight
he will be gone tomorrow. Or maybe it’s just indigestion.

I've said it about 100 times
but there’s just no way Hendry will let him go before the end of the season. We had to suffer through Dusty’s entire 2006, we’re gonna suffer through Lou’s final year.
The upside of that of course, is I think it will mean the end of Hendry as well (hope hope)

There's quite a difference between...
… 2006 and now, wouldn’t you say?

This is better than 2006
And I hope that Hendry has learned from the past. No Way Lou lasts until the All-Star break if they continue to be under .500
Why?
Because they were stupid in 2006, they have to repeat it?
I’m beginning to believe Hendry’s thought process is if he doesn’t make changes, he will be one of the off-season changes.
Just win the next game...!
Be at Wrigley to see the future of the Cubs? June games with the A's? That can mean only one thing....

Where's The Grinch?
You’d think he’d be lined up to buy tickets for the A’s serie.

I got it too...
It was about this on July 7th:
Road to Wrigley
Enjoy family-friendly priced tickets and an array of activities for children of all ages at Wrigley Field.
They should have put it in a more prominant spot if the subject of the email was about it.
Big Fan of the Road to Wrigley
The only way I would ever make a 550-mile trip to see a minor league game at Wrigley would be if the Memphis Redbirds were playing the Iowa Cubs. For all the middle class and lower class people out there, it’s a great opportunity to see a baseball game at Wrigley for relatively affordable prices. I know “affordable” is dependent on one’s income and bank account.

Wait - you think that they'd leak the manager's status in a mailer???
As poor of a job as I think Hendry’s done with the resources allocated to him, there is no way that this would happen. It would be unprofessional, sloppy, and quite frankly, pretty damn disrespectful to Piniella.

I took it as a call for fans to come on out
to see some of our exciting young players like Castro and Colvin and nothing more.
"And away we go..."-Pat Hughes
I think by this time, the fans know they only got a once in a two week span to actually see Colvin through

I deleted it without even bothering to open
I don’t blame folks for wanting to go to a ballgame, enjoy it…especially if it’s the minor league variety…
but Cubs Marketing/Ticketing should be paying me to witness this Major League crapshow.

BTW, do you see the I-Cubs when they come to the Shrine on Airline in Metairie? It’s a nice ballpark. Turchin Stadium at Tulane is pretty nice for college baseball. I know the Green Wave had a bad year.
