Continuing the series:
I thought I would try something to parallel Josh's posts on the minor league prospects. While some here feel the Cubs can get back to playoff contention in 2011, others think it will take until at least 2012. By then, several of the contracts will have expired, and several youngsters might be contributing every day. The premise of the poll is to get the group wisdom on which players will be most likely to NOT be a part of a Cubs team in 2012.
So far, you have voted off Wrigley Island: Zambrano, Lee, Lilly, Nady, Fukudome, Howry, Grabow, and Theriot.
Now we'll probably start getting to some real difference of opinion. What keeps a player on the Cubs for at least the next two years? Contract? Performance? Potential? Desire to stay in Chicago? Make your thoughts known in the comments.
I've added Fontenot and Baker to the poll for the first time. I'll take the top three off again, before posting the next (and final?) poll.
