Sunday Night Cubs/Phillies Game Is At 7:05 CDT

You may have a Cubs schedule, or a ticket for tonight's game, that has a game time of 5:05 pm.

Don't be fooled and don't turn on the TV or show up early. Game time tonight has been changed to 7:05 CDT. Reason: ESPN used to show the ESPY Awards on a tape delay at 8 pm CDT on the third Sunday in July, and thus would make that Sunday's night game an earlier start.

When they decided to show the ESPY Awards live earlier this week, they moved this Sunday's Cubs/Phillies game back to the regular Sunday night starting time of 7:05 CDT.

Seven. O. Five. Be there. Tonight's game preview will post at 5 pm CDT.

Y'all have fun

I’ve gotta be up at around 3AM tomorrow, so I’ll be lucky to even catch the first pitch as I’m drowsing off tonight.

I'll be there, Al.

You talked me into going to this one. See you there, in the bleachers … with tomatoes! ;-)

The tomatoes are meant for HWSNBN, or Ryan Theriot if he comes near me.

I didn't believe it last August, but it turns out that love survives.

When throwing fruit at Theriot, remember to double-clutch to make sure it gets all the way to him

Want to go then?

Regarding baseball tickets, that would be true.

However, I have a cousin who’s younger than you.

Go Cubs! Get back on the winning track and take the series!

Unfortunately 19:05 CDT is 2:00 in the morning local time. I would really have preferred the 5PM start.

If the Cubs still have a chance, no matter how small, it’s still Go Cubs, damn the math and pass the KoolAid.

what

could have been a possible sweep looks more like a split with halliday pitching. if lee ramirez and fonzie dont hit.you know the rest.wonder what the next few years without lee/ramirez will be like? maybe ricketts should talk to the rays on how to develop a team.embarrasing a team with half the payroll yet twice as good.

Tonight is going to be fun!

The Cubs always look good on national TV! Plus we not only get to face Halladay, but have to listen to Joe Morgan as well!

I am sure we will get the usual well played, crisp, clutch game we always get!

Lou is going to show off his baseball knowledge tonight!

I can only hope Theriot is leading off!

I am hoping to see Bob Howry tonight!

In fact, I also look forward to Joe Morgan calling the game in his usual professional fashion!

I am so glad it is him and not Vin Scully!

How will he handle Sandberg getting a manager gig?

Those in game interviews should be fun!

Listening to Cardinal announcers right now: "One of the days Lou's upper body will explode when he goes out to the mound..."

(talking about how furious Lou must have been last evening, but then also added a jibe or two about the Cubs in general)

Don't Believe Al!

Get to the ballpark early and get in your seats. Get there now! If the gates aren’t open, climb the walls! Storm the castle! I’d bet they still serve you a beer.
