Cubs promote Maine, fill 40-man roster
Apologies if this was posted elsewhere... I didn't see it in the game preview or in the game thread.
But the Cubs made a roster move today. They promoted LH RP Scott Maine and optioned Justin Berg back to Iowa.
With the promotion, Maine was added to the 40-man roster, which is now full.
Discuss this groundbreaking move amongst yourselves.
(And this is the first fanshot I created, so here's hoping it turns out ok!)

Phew... looks ok.
Here is the 40-man roster, for anyone who wants a look. I don’t know how to put it into the description.
Shut up Joe Morgan.

So you don't remember the Maine?

LOL...beat me to it.
I’m surprised others got the joke here….though I suspect the three of us qualify as old timers to a lot of the members here.

Glad to see him get a shot
It would be nice to have another in-house lefty option for next year’s pen. He can’t be worse than Berg or Schlitter, can her?
Somebody take Aramis' bat off the restricted list, please.
He has potential
I saw him only once in Des Moines. A.B-D started the game. Maine came in to relieve. The whole game I thought the radar gun was broken because B-D never broke 85mph. Maine came in and it was consistently hitting 94-95 mph.
We are in the open tryout phase right now. Might as well let Maine have a crack, too.
