I'm not sure if anyone noticed or cared, but with Cincinnati's 7-2 victory over the Diamondbacks last night, the Cubs are officially eliminated from post-season contention in 2010. About the only good things I can say about it are that it took 144 games (many assumed it would be less), and with last night's win over the Cardinals, the Cubs will not have a 100-loss season.
Shelf the Kool-Aid and come back off the ledge - it ain't worth it anymore.
