The Cubs have now won four games in a row three times this season: from April 23-26, May 13-19 and now September 13-17. In the divisional play era, only four Cubs teams (1980, 1981, 1996, 2006) have had their longest winning streak be four games.
This team is playing well enough right now that they have a real good shot at getting themselves out of that group. Also, a win tonight would ensure that they have a better record than the horrible 2006 squad.
You will be pleased to know that Tyler Colvin is back in the lineup tonight; the complete lineup via tweet from Carrie:
#Cubs lineup Sat nite vs #Marlins is 2B DeWitt, SS Castro, CF Byrd, 3B Ramy, 1B Nady, C Soto, LF Soriano, RF Colvin, P Coleman

Anibal Sanchez, who threw a no=hitter his rookie year but who has been mostly injured since then, has turned in a pretty good season in 2010 and is still only 26. He has two career starts vs. the Cubs -- a win in 2008 and a loss last year in which the Cubs roughed him up. The only current Cub who has more than three career AB against him is Alfonso Soriano (4-for-16, two homers). And no, I have no idea why they used that photo with the baseball covering up half of it for his profile photo.
Casey Coleman has thrown better as a starter (4.08 ERA in five starts covering 28.2 innings) than as a reliever (8.64 ERA in four relief appearances, 8.1 innings). He still walks too many people, but he may have a decent shot against the Marlins, who have never seen him before, especially with Hanley Ramirez supposed to be out again tonight.
