OT: True story

I was watching World Cup in ’02 with a couple of Brits and one of their GFs. At halftime, I launched into that monologue, and the girl was just enthralled. The guys were trying their damnedest to keep straight faces (as was I), but she was just awe-struck that I had met the Dalai Lama.

We held it together until she went to the bathroom – one of the funniest damned moments of my life.

lol sounds cool!

Couple years ago my 43 yo gf was at a party with me, and talking with her folks and family. She said something naive, so I said let’s go on a snipe hunt later…she looked blank and just smiled, said uh ok!. Her family kept losing it and finally after her mother kept snickering at her I took her aside and explained it…never would have guessed in a million years she didn’t know a snipe hunt. The tears were falling everywhere.

Your luck has just changed.

Maddux is in Mesa

Working with youngest kids in the Cubs organization in the AZ instructional league. I am sure he gets in a round or two, but he in the trenches or at least out on the practice fields with a lot of 18-20 year olds, many of whom don’t speak English. I am sure he is having a blast.
He will be in Atlanta Saturday for the Bobby Cox tribute.
