If Ricketts were to pursue Theo for the GM position the Trib had a link to an USA Today article stating that the Red Sox would ask for compensation for allowing Theo to go. My question is who makes the decision on how the Red Sox are compensated? Who/what do the Cubs give up for a GM? Has a GM ever been "traded" before?
