BCB at the Cubs Convention...
I have a ticket to the Cubs Convention, who's gonna be there and is there any interest in doing lunch or something on Sat?

I think it is time for me to skip a year
No Maddux(either one). I am sure Jed, Theo and Justin can do without me.

Aw, c'mon.
You could ask a tough question and maybe Theo would call you “sweetheart.” That would be a lot more fun than Lou Piniella calling you that, no?
Baseball is pitching, offensive production, baserunning and defense.
It would
and I could hang out with fellow Wes alum Jed, but timing is off this year as I will be out of the country for nearly two weeks shortly before the convention. Maybe if Don Kessinger comes

You're still pissed that I didn't have you join us at the South Loop Club for the GB-ATL game, aren't you?

Mrs. Zeke and I are coming. Cubs bingo is calling.
After that, she may be shopping on Michigan Avenue now that Ryno won’t be the manager, but I’ll be there for the sessions.
There are 108 beads in a Catholic rosary and there are 108 stitches in a baseball. Who says baseball isn't a religion? (Now #8452 in the Cubs Season Ticket Wait List...)
I'll be there.
But I think meeting up with random people from the internet is kinda weird.

Depends on why you're meeting them.

Don't say that to Kerrysotherwife...
she once FanPosted a meet-and-greet BCB barbeque at her house.

Did people actually go?

No.
It was not a real post — it was made by someone since banned, in order to mock her.

That's right.
I was mistaken. That was a bizarre episode.
She did numerous posts on get-togethers was what I remember. Not mocking her, but she really tried to get BCB together countless times. Don’t think it ever happened, although many here have met.

meeting them is OK, but don't expect them to immediately be your best friends.
I have met a few BCB folks, chatted with Al a few times in Mesa and at the convention last year – but it isn’t like we are best friends who are going to hangout all weekend. To me it is kind of like seeing familiar faces at the local bar. You hang out in the same places, have similar experiences, but you aren’t automatically best buddies or anything like that.
I think I speak for everyone here when I say, "Wait, what the hell are you talking about?"
Have you had this as problem?

To each his/her own.
I’m not saying you folks shouldn’t do a meet up. I’m just saying I’m going to the convention, but I’m not interested in a BCB meet up.

If people want to
If people want to I wouldn’t mind meeting people.
But I probably wont be able to make it to any meetup. Probably only going to be there for part of Saturday as I am going to a wedding that Sunday and have promised to help setup on Friday and Saturday night,
It can be fun meeting people you’ve known for a long time on the internet, But heck the evil forces of the world have kept me from meeting Al.
Ironically it seems every time I meet with people from the net from a group I’m in something breaks with the Cubs,
