Koyie Hill Non-Tendered
Oh happy day! The end of an era.....
@CarrieMuskat Carrie Muskat
#Cubs have tendered contracts to arb eligibles Baker, DeWitt, Garza, Soto, Stewart, Wells, but not Hill
Looks like DeWitt will be back as the second infielder off the bench along with Baker.

Sadly Hank White has already resigned with the D'backs
The bottom is loaded with nice people, Albert. Only cream and bastards rise
I've said it before and I'll say it again:

After zero research, I feel confident in my statement.

Obviously I'm sure he's the only catcher to have done that. But he was so awful that I was joking that
I’d… um, I’d have to check every catcher to ever… see, Hill was soooooo bad that…
Screw it.
Will there be a front page story?

Well.
I won’t miss him, but I hope he lands on his feet.
Who becomes the backup catcher now?
Forget all that other stuff. I gotta believe.
So why are people
getting so worked up over a back-up catcher? It means what, zero games during a season?
It's kind of a meme here.
Just come along for the ride.

In the words of Buddy Holly...
maybe baby. It must be similar to the vilification of Blake DeWitt. I really don’t see where that comes from. He probably would hit as well, if not better than Stewart would if given a full season. His fielding would be less. He doesn’t have the range for a second baseman but might at third. He had starts in the outfield but he never really was an outfielder. Greater minds I guess……
Stewart is a far superior hitter to Blake DeWitt, very unlikely that DeWitt would outhit him as a starter.

Step Two: Develop an organizational plan

It depends if you lose your starter for any length of time.
It could mean a couple of wins over a season.
I think the organization finds a role
