Minor league deal.

If he’s as done as he looked with the Cubs, he won’t make it out of spring training. I assume he’s only getting this because he’s lefthanded.

haha no worries

we’ll all be wrong plenty of times going forward

it’s just a good example of the past regime getting hung up on the wrong things (ERA, small sample sizes, etc) and not the right ones (peripheral indicators, history of performance, trends, etc)

Yay?

Yay!

[...]when Giants coach Steve Owen, a certified defensive genius, was asked how he planned to stop Nagurski, he said: "With a shotgun, as he’s leaving the dressing room."

Time to change my signature

as the question has been answered. With Hendry gone, no one wants to pay Grabow.

John Grabow - Who will pay you $4.8 million in 2012?

Good

Now I know when to coordinate the standing ovation at Wrigley – 5/4 to 5/6.

I am the proud owner of a game-used John Grabow hoodie...

Got it at the Cubs convention because it was cheaper than one that I could buy at Sports Authority. It’s pretty comfy.

I think I speak for everyone here when I say, "Wait, what the hell are you talking about?"

And just like that...

the Cubs bullpen got better! ( Now, would the front office get busy and get Kerry Wood re-signed?)

The FO should wait until during the Cubs Convention,

call press conference and re-sign Kerry Wood at the Hilton.

That would be a fun session.

“The Kerry Wood Contract Signing.” How many fans can claim they were in the room when a big league pitcher was signed to a deal? Marketing gold, Jerry, gold!
