Since I came up with these...

I should probably answer:

1) Over/under on 2012 Cubs wins: 76
Over. Just a weird hunch. I think Theo’s putting together a team that will do things the right way. I’m think 77 or 78 right now.

2) Which of the following players will be on the Cubs opening day roster: a) Alfonso Soriano b) Carlos Zambrano c) Geo Soto d) Marlon Byrd e) Matt Garza
a, b, c

3) Over/under on date in which Kerry Wood signs with Cubs: February 1, 2012
After. Strange as to why it hasn’t happened yet. I’m worried it might not happen at all.

4) Over/under 50 starts for Bryan LeHair
Over. I think he gets ths job.

5) Over/under 17.5 Hrs for Bryan LeHair
Over. 22 bombs.

6) Over/under 250 PA for Brett Jackson
Under, but just slightly. I think he comes up near the deadline

7) Over/under 5 GS for Trey McNutt
Over. We are pretty thin. If he starts hot (assuming he’s over the injuries), I’m sure we’ll need 7 or 8 starters by July.

8) Over/under 30 saves for Carlos Marmol (total for season, regardless of team)
Under, because, although I think he gets back on track (not to 2010 level though), he’ll be traded to in a situation where he’s a temp closer/set up guy.

9) Over/under 8.5 wins for Carlos Zambrano (total for season, regardless of team)
Under.

10 Which of the following players will be on the Cubs roster on the last day of the 2012 season: a) Alfonso Soriano b) Carlos Zambrano c) Geo Soto d) Marlon Byrd e) Matt Garza
a.

11) Over/Under 20 errors for Starlin Castro
Over

12) Over/Under 20 HRS for Soriano (total for season, regardless of team)
Over, hopefully for someone else.

13) Who will lead the Cubs in RBI’s in 2012? SBs?
Going to go out on a limb — LeHair; Campana

14) Over/under Cubs finish 4th place in NL Central?
Push

15) Over/under 87.5 wins for winner of NL Central
Under. I think 87 wins it (Reds), barring some unforseen moves.

16) Over under 94.5 wins for Angels
Over.

I'll play

1) under, under 70 w’s, I fear

2) Sori, z, byrd, sori and z are untradeable

3) Before (under?) woody signs in late jan

4) over, just barely. 50 starts will expose him for what he is – a 4a hitter.

5) under see above

6) over, i think we’ll see him in early june

7) under, at least at the major league level. He’ll start more than five times in the minors, but that wasn’t the question, was it? I fear Trey will be a major league middle reliever at best. Hope I’m wrong.

8) Over,
9) Under

10 Sori, z, we are stuck with these guys, I think.

11) Over , but I think by the end of 2012 he’ll be alot better than he is now.

12) Over sori still will run into some fastballs and he still can get hot for a week or two. Unfortunately, I don’t think it is enough to attract a trade partner.

13) Soriano – 26 hr, castro – 26 sb. My first thought is that Campana would lead the team in steals, but I would not be surprised if he spends a fair amount of time in Des Moines.

14) Under May even finish behind Houston. who is the top prospect for the 2013 draft?

15) Over I think both StL and Cin could win 90+.

16) Under, even with Pujols I don’t like their lineup. They have lots of old guys (Wells, Hunter, Abrea, and now Pujols), and I just have a feeling the Pujols won’t be quite the force he has been.

8 – over , marmol gets 32 saves
9 – over , z gets maybe 14 wins
10 – soriano and soto are the only ones left
11 – over , 24 errors
12 – over , 26 hr’s for soriano
13 – praying fielder leads in rbi’s,realisticaly, soriano with 82 rbis and castro with 34 steals
14 –under . 5th place finish, the last time the cubs finish below 3rd
15 –over , the cardinals finish with 98 wins
16-under , not sold the angels offense gets them over 90 wins .

We're gonna need someone to aggregate these eventually...

1 – Under… and I’d lower the number to last season’s total: 71
2 – All, in an “upset”
3 – Under, if that’s before (I’ll say January and, IMO, one reason it hasn’t gotten done is to leave another roster spot open while Theo continues the overhaul)
4 – Over, and very possibly way over
5 – Over
6 – Over, but none before mid May at the earliest
7 – Under… no more than 2, in September
8 – Over, perhaps by ten
9 – Under, but really close
10 – All except Byrd
11 – Over… by plenty
12 – Under… my crystal ball says more leg problems this year
13 – If I could vote “no one”, I might consider it… but I’ll take LaHair with around 70 for RBI and Campana with 20 for SBs
14 – Under… only the Astros below
15 – Over. Perhaps by STL, MIL & CIN.
16 – Under
